Double Duty - Easy Installation
Have a keyboard, monitor, mouse and serial port at another desk, in another office or even on another floor. The Longview Companion is simple to install; no software or networks are involved. Just place another set of peripherals at a remote location, connect the cables and use your PC locally or remotely. There are no jumpers or switches to configure. LongView Companion's autotuning feature automatically optimizes and configures your cable length settings, video resolution and serial async data rate (patent pending technology) without user intervention

Convenience and Flexibility
Keep your PC where you use it most and still have access from an additional location up to 500 feet away! Using just a single Category 5 cable gives you the additional benefit of lower installation cost and increased resistance to interference for high quality video transmission. In additional to video quality up to 1600x1200 non-interlaced resolution and support for a high speed Serial Port, the optional multimedia capability provides for high quality audio at the local and remote locations.


Configuration
A Longview Companion consists of a transmitter unit, located at the computer, and a receiver unit, located at the remote monitor, keyboard, mouse remote location. A supplied input cable links your computer to the transmitter unit. Plug your local peripherials (keyboard, monitor, mouse and serial device) into the transmitter unit. The local and remote locations support a VGA monitor, a PS/2 keyboard and a PS/2 mouse. Now with dual power supplies  -- one for the transmitter, one for the receiver -- better quality video!
