Digital Series Remote (DSR) - Virtual Media
Avocent's Digital Series took a leap forward when Virtual Media was introduced
to the DS remote switches and Autoview 20x0-series for local Virtual Media.
Now you can have local data available to remote systems attached to DSR† Virtual
Media Switches.
A local CD, DVD or flash drive can now "appear" as a drive on the
remote system instantly, allowing for, among other things, upgrades and installations
real-time, anytime, anywhere. Locally attached USB media can be used as a local
drive on any system attached to that VM-enabled DSR. (Read

† - The remote systems must be attached to a Virtual
Media digital switch and be connected with a Virtual Media enabled dongle (DSAVIQ-USB2
or DSAVOIQ-USB2L).
Virtual Media (local and remote) is available in the Avocent Digital-Series (DS) switch line: the DSRx030's. The DSR switches are designed for either standalone or integrated operations. Virtual Media (local only) is available in the Autoview 2030 model.
