The AMX-5000 is at the heart of this new analog KVM switch. Featuring 32 input connections and 8 user connections the AMX is highly configurable and features Avocent's exclusive AutoTuning Technology. Now have the flexibility to incorporate a KVM with mixed Cat-5, CAT-6 and CAT-5e cable, the AMX will self-tune for optimal video performance. Wiring's a snap, from the computer's AMIQ to the AMX-5000 direct or through patch-panels, even with mixed cables, the AMX self-tunes to the user console AMX-5100.

On the user-end, the AMX-5100 user station features the patented OSCAR on-screen interface. OSCAR uses multi-lingual, intuitive menus for Point and Click system configuration and server selection. The AMX-5100 user station also doubles as a monitor stand with PS/2 or SUN peripheral connections. Expansion is easy, add more AMX-5000 units to expand the number of systems.
